I've used MacJanitor and Internet Cleanup before and never allowed a thorough cache clean, but this time I did. Now my FX history is still available as a list, but Restore session, Reopen tabs/windows are no longer available. Also my bookmark toolbar needs to be manually added to each new window, and other toolbar settings are weird. Also, when I try to watch MSNBC, the vids. unless embedded on the host's blog page, load off the edge of the window, with no way to center it. And after I initially posted this I reopened my Camino browser, which I'd used minutes ago. No history, no bookmarks....this is why this feels like a parasite munching through my system.
I've consulted with Apple, am in ongoing dialog with Firefox, have repaired permissions, checked for viruses, updated the browser...the problems persist. Yesterday my entire inbox contents disappeared. I'm hoping you might be able to shed some light on this. Once the Flashback story came out I wondered if my problem was virus related, ran the RT program and isolated 12 viruses, set up a new detection program...but I still need help. Thanks very much.
