OnyX is a multifunction utility (maintenance, optimization, and personalization).
OnyX allows you to verify the Startup Disk and the structure of its System files, run miscellaneous tasks of system maintenance, configure some hidden parameters of the Finder, Dock, Dashboard, Exposé, Safari, Login window and some of Apple's own applications, it deletes caches, removes a certain number of files and folders that may become cumbersome and more.
It automatically checks updates, verifies the status of the startup disk and the structure of system files at launch, defines with precision the actions, and modifies the appearance of OnyX, increases the window transparency, chooses its own icon and toolbar icons among those available in the Preferences...
Requirements:
OnyX is a Universal Binary application and works with all Macintosh PowerPC and Intel computers running Mac OS X version 10.5 (Leopard). To use OnyX correctly, it must be run from an admin account.
OnyX is also available for Mac OS X 10.6 (OnyX for Snow Leopard), Mac OS X 10.4 (OnyX for Tiger), Mac OS X 10.3 (OnyX for Panther) and Mac OS X 10.2 (OnyX for Jaguar).
